Buddy Program

Are you interested in becoming a “buddy” for someone in the PPI community or are you seeking a little support for the conference?  Whether you’re eager to foster a sense of belonging and connection or in need of guidance and companionship, the buddy system has you covered.  Buddies play a vital role in fostering inclusivity by providing support, assistance, and encouragement to their assigned buddy, including introducing them to fellow members, facilitating interactions, and sharing personal insights for mutual growth. Don’t miss this chance to enhance your conference experience through meaningful connections and support.

Newcomers Reception

Monday, July 29th | 4:45pm - 5:30pm

Welcome! You Belong Here!

If you’ve joined the PPI community within the last few years or if you’re passionate about welcoming new members, you belong here!  Join us to forge new friendships and engage in a purposeful activity designed to cultivate connections and a sense of belonging.  Depart with newly formed bonds and an interactive experience to deploy in your profession.

* This is not the typical PPI reception, which will occur later.  Instead, it’s an opportunity for newcomers to connect before the conference begins. *

In a long-standing Rendezvous tradition, we will be hosting informal drop-in Open Mic & Sing-Along on Tuesday, July 30th and Wednesday, July 31st.  These will be informal gatherings starting around 8:30pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend and if you are inclined to participate by playing a musical instrument or singing along, we encourage you to bring a tablet or phone to access lyrics (and chords) on http://www.ultimate-guitar.com.  We will be providing two acoustic guitars and some hand percussions.  Feel free to bring an instrument if you have one!

Pre/Post Rendezvous Activities

Volunteering

Monday, July 29th | 10:30am

The secret to living is giving!  It is also the best way to bond in a group.  Join us for coffee at 9 AM (MT), and volunteering with the Missionaries of Charity in Denver at 10:30 AM (MT), where we’ll be helping out a homeless shelter for women.  It’s an experience that will be a deathbed regret if you don’t make it.

Please contact Amanda Koplin directly at amanda@koplinconsulting.com to RSVP with the subject: Volunteering before PPI.
