Description:
Purposeful planning professionals have significant opportunities to strengthen the rigor of our work through the incorporation of family business/enterprise research and other interdisciplinary research that intersects with the field. Unfortunately, research can be difficult to understand because it often comes from an academic setting, leaving practitioners unable to easily bridge the gap between research and practice. This webinar will lay basic groundwork on how to access and utilize academic research to strengthen our training processes and planning and advising strategies with clients. Common misunderstandings that can cause misuse and confusion with academic research will be discussed, along with how to make use of the ever expanding field of research relevant to family wealth advising including organizational psychology, neurobiology, financial advising, executive coaching, and more.
