Introduction to our Guest Speaker(s)

Kristin Heaney is the founder of In Three Generations and leads a team of trained peer group coaches who are all RisingGens from their own financially successful families. Her family parable style book, In Three Generations: A Story About Family, Wealth, and Beating the Odds, and her beautifully illustrated children’s book, The Super Special Altogether Ordinary Day offer accessible reminders of what it means to LIVE your legacy. Kristen currently lives with her family in south Florida and enjoys being active outdoors in her free time.

Natalie McVeigh is a Managing Director of Eisner Amper in its Center for Individual and Organizational Performance and its Center for Family Business Excellence Group, with more than 10 years of experience as a consultant and coach. Natalie’s works with high-net-worth families to help them reach their personal and professional goals and to assist with the transition issues.  She has expertise in domestic and international multinational corporations both public and private, and family-owned businesses. 

Joseph Brooks is a managing director based in Arabella’s Chicago office, where he leads many of the firm’s individual and family engagements and helps his clients realize impact through Arabella’s array of advisory and fiscal sponsorship tools and services.

John A. Warnick Until late 2009 John A. Warnick was a partner in the Denver office of a large regional law firm where he chaired that firm’s Private Client Service Group. In early 2010 Mr. Warnick launched the Purposeful Planning Collaboration, a virtual community of estate planning attorneys, financial planners, CPAs, trustees, wealth psychologists and family business consultants who want to insure that the impact of their technical planning will be a positive force in the lives of each generation of their client families. His blog, Seedlings, provides suggestions on powerful but easy ways in which we can make non-financial gifts to our families, clients and communities, and his monthly newsletter showcases best practices for families of wealth and families in business. Mr. Warnick is a Best Lawyer in America and SuperLawyer. He serves on the Board of Directors of Advisors in Philanthropy and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Mr. Warnick received a BA magna cum laude from Brigham Young University and his JD from George Washington University with honors.

Lauren Ogg is a Vice President and Business Support Manager II with emphasis in learning and content design in the Merrill Center for Family Wealth™. Within her role, Lauren creates educational materials for clients and Merrill advisors. These materials include, but are not limited to, curriculum for the rising generation, advisor guides, training programs, and custom learning experiences for families. Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts with summa cum laude honors in English literature from the University of Colorado Boulder in Boulder, Colorado. She also holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado Boulder.
