Sonja Weissenbacher is a CPA, Family Enterprise Advisor, organizational coach, and co-founder of Edendale Business Consultants, supporting business families and owner-led enterprises through generational transitions in leadership and ownership.
Her work centers on moments of meaningful change; when leadership, identity, relationships, and governance converge, and when flourishing requires not just sound decisions, but care, understanding, and deeply human connection.
Grounded in both professional training and lived experience as an engaged member of an enterprising family, Sonja works alongside founders, next-generation leaders, boards, and executive teams to support succession, leadership development, governance, and long-term stewardship. As an independent advisor, she creates space for the conversations that are often hardest to have; helping families and leadership teams build trust, clarity, and shared purpose.
Sonja’s approach is systems-based, human-centred, and neurodiversity-informed. She pays close attention to different thinking styles, emotional experiences, and family roles, and to how these differences shape communication, power dynamics, and collaboration; especially during times of uncertainty or change. Her work emphasizes strengths, patterns, and relational dynamics within complex systems; cultivating wisdom, empathy, discernment, and the capacity to stay connected through ambiguity while sustaining wellbeing across generations.
