Guest Speaker: Susan Bradley, CFP®, CFT™, Founder of the Sudden Money® Institute (SMI), PPI Dean of Transitions

Host: John “John A” Warnick, Esq., Founder, Purposeful Planning Institute

Description: Like most transitions, the pandemic is lasting longer than we initially thought and it is bringing challenges that are different than the ones we faced before.  The Great Pause, a reframe term for the pandemic, is like all pauses, it will eventually end. You can choose to just wait it out and see what happens next, or you can choose to prepare your clients for some big and possibly permanent adjustments; many they could not have imagined even one year ago.

In this session, we consider processes for addressing the human dynamics of helping clients see forward rather than waiting to go back to the way life used to be.  Three adaptive protocols presented are:

  • Structured conversations for difficult decisions
  • Habits and routines for resilience, your client’s and your own
  • Establish and use personal and family anchors for safety and stabilization

Three possible disruptive realities that may change the way life works:

  • Major change in where to live
  • Prolonged low valuations of business and commercial real estate
  • Permanently downsizing lifestyle, think reduced passive income and less stable active income
